Configure Voice Providers for Voice AI Agents in Soph-IA

This guide explains how to configure and choose different voice providers for your Voice AI Agent in Soph-IA, including built-in voices with real-time models and premium third-party providers such as 11 Labs.

Choose a Model Type

  1. Go to any of your agents in the AI Agents tab.
  2. Select a model type. There are two options:
    • Real-Time Models: Come with built-in voices that are included free of charge.
    • LLM Models: Require you to choose an external voice provider (e.g., 11 Labs, Google, Cortesia, OpenAI).

Select a Voice Provider

  1. Preview available voices from different providers using the demo play buttons.
  2. Evaluate quality, style, and cost.
    For example:
    • Google Real-Time: Native voices included with the model.
    • 11 Labs: High-quality, natural voices but more expensive.
    • Cortesia / OpenAI: Additional alternatives.
  3. Click the checkmark next to your preferred voice to apply it.

Configure Voice Parameters

  • Some providers (e.g., 11 Labs) allow extra parameters:
    • Gender: male or female.
    • Accent: regional voice variations.
    • Age: adjust perceived speaker age.
  • Set these options according to your desired voice profile.
