Embed a Voice AI Agent into Your Website with Soph-IA

This guide explains how to build a Voice AI Agent in Soph-IA and embed it into your website as a widget or popup, with options for text, voice, and avatar-based interactions.

Create a New Agent

  1. Navigate to AI Agents and click Create New Agent.
  2. Replace the default prompt with a specialised prompt tailored to your product.
  3. Optionally connect a Knowledge Base of FAQs for more accurate responses.
  4. Select a model (e.g., Gemini) and choose a suitable voice provider.

Enable Website Widget

  1. In the agent configuration, enable the Website Widget.
  2. Select the interaction type:
    • Text and Voice only
    • Avatar (Avatar-only or side-by-side)

Configure Widget Design

  • Theme: Choose light or dark mode.
  • Display Mode:
    • Widget: Small window docked to a screen corner.
    • Popup: Full modal in the centre of the screen.
  • Placement: Select bottom-right or copy the embed code for manual placement in your HTML.
  • Behaviour: Choose whether the agent starts speaking automatically or waits until the widget is opened.

Preview Widget

  1. After making changes, click Update Widget Preview to refresh the demo.
  2. Test both widget and popup modes to see how they look.
  3. Switch between voice-only and avatar options to preview different interaction styles.

Embed Agent into Website

  1. Copy the embed code provided in the widget settings.
  2. Paste it into your website’s HTML where you want the agent to appear (e.g., landing page).
  3. Reload your website to see the agent live.
  4. Test by asking product questions and verifying the responses.
